Mobile phones have opened the door of possibilities, especially smartphones with advanced features. More than one service options offered by insurer also increases numbers of customers and the insurer derives preference, trust and satisfaction of both agent and policyholder. It allows you as a policyholder to submit a claim, locate agents, find authorized repair center, and send information to renew the auto insurance. If your friend’s auto policy is near to expiry date or has already expired, you can refer him to insurer through a special facility Help a friend. The application provides immediate help in an accident. In case of accident, the application installed in your mobile allows you to take photo details and prepare damage list. Although, billing information is not available with the application. Soon, this application will also be available for Windows smart phones.

Another helpful application is VivaBox, which does provide policy access, insurance ID access, and billing access for Viva customers. The application is introduced by Viva Insurance, the largest insurance company in South Africa. VivaBox comes with accident helper and roadside assistance.

Countrywide Insurer is a leading insurance company in Philippines, which has also launched its mobile phone based application CountInsurance for iPhone (Countrywide Insurer has hinted that they will soon launch this application for Google’s Android and Windows mobiles.). This application also focuses on residential auto market and most of the features of InsAgent. By this application, users can process claims, take photo through accident organizer, locate repair and centers.

mClaim is a multi mobile platform application which, apart from auto claims, does cover other sorts of insurance. This application is developed by Prudential Insurance which is worldwide insurer covering more than 89 countries. The application provides an ideal environment for preparing different types of Insurance. The application is also a help-point for farmers. It helps farmers in preparing claim report. Property owners can record inventory and submit claims using mClaim. The app has quickly become popular among most of insureds having smart phone.

Taiwan Insurer has developed an application for their field executives, who visit client-to-client for selling life insurance policies. The application removes the use of lengthy insurance forms of paper and promotes the slogan “green earth”.
